Yvette is a producer and editor working in digital and TV ad production, marketing, publicity, news, series and documentary films.
Yvette has extensive experience working on Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro as editor and post-production supervisor. Her clients include: Oracle, Genentech, Apple, Macy's, Definition 6, The GAP, Lieberman Productions, Devine Mulvey Longabaugh, Duarte Design, Friday's Films, Cuisinart, Aloha.com, GOODProjects.org, The Human Rights Campaign - HRC, The Hooligans, Dialysis Patient Citizens, Cold Harbor Films, On Message Inc., DARPA, Land of Medicine Buddha, Interval Research, LSI Logic, Stanford University, Harvard University, KPIX, KQED, PBS, Outdoor Life Channel/ESPN and the Canadian Broadcast Corporation.
Currently, she is working on TV spots for US presidential election cycle 2024 for various clients.
Formerly, Yvette worked at Biden for President with the Paid Media team producing digital ads for social media sites to mobilize and GOTV in key battleground states in 2020.
Yvette also served as the Senior Video Strategist for the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign where she spearheaded the creation and implementation of the in-house TV advertising team and oversaw all TV spot production for the campaign from 2019 to Spring 2020. Yvette produced and cut political spots, devised messaging, oversaw creative decisions, directed talent, managed the editorial and VFX team, handled asset licensing, and hired post-production contractors. She has also worked on U.S. Senate and House of Representative campaign ads since 2018 at various firms in Washington.
As Head of Video at Circa/Sinclair Broadcast Network, Yvette worked in news rooms supervising teams of up to 35 videographers, editors and multi-media journalists creating content for breaking news cycles on a daily basis for broadcast TV and social. She also oversaw style to maintain brand consistency and managed all camera and video editing assignments for DC, NY and LA teams. Yvette trained all new staff on Premiere Pro and Avid and shot and edited her own news packages.
Yvette also edits and produces doc films. In 2020 she edited and co-produced Mom’s: More than an Organic Store, which was screened at Richmond Film Festival, New Haven Doc Fest, Reel East Texas, won the Best Doc award at Silicon Beach Film Festival and the Excellence Award for Best Short and also won Best Editing and the Award of Excellence at the Global Shorts Competition/LA in 2021.
Yvette edited How Sweet the Sound: The Blind Boys of Alabama for director Leslie McCleave. The film has been screened at more than 17 film festivals including Nashville International Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, St. Louis International, Margaret Mead Documentary Festival, Vermont International Film Festival and the San Francisco Doc Festival.
Yvette’s films have aired in the USA on PBS: WBGH, KQED, KPBS, KRON, KTOP and screened at Mill Valley Film Fest, Hawaii International, Tahoe International, Athen’s International, Film Arts Foundation Festival, Women's Film Fest of Montreal, Taos Talking Pictures, Barnard Works by Women, ... and more.
